Strata Plan is happy to announce yet another cladding win, thanks to our expert team!
A building we manage in Riversdale Road in Hawthorn East has recently been granted the maximum grant of $1,817,800.00!
Their previous cladding material is Expanded Polystyrene (EPS)- a combustible material that is part of the list of products classified as non-compliant by the Victorian Building Authority.
The combustible material has the potential to contribute to the rapid spread of fire on or within a building, which can endanger residents by compromising the means of egress of the occupants, residents, or anyone in the building in the event of a fire.
The funds are coming from the $600M Program from Cladding Safety Victoria, as they continue to work with Owners Corporations whose buildings have high-extreme risk related cladding. The program is set to rectify the existing cladding material and work to make sure they are replaced, making them safe and compliant with all building regulations.
This grant will cover the following:
- Construction fees (including labour and materials)
- Design Consultant fees and inspections
- Building Surveyor fees and inspections
- Building Contract Security
This is yet another exciting milestone for Strata Plan as this is the fourth building that we have managed to assist with the grant request in recent months, tallying up to approx. $6M!
We are making sure that every eligible building that we manage will get access to Cladding Safety Victoria’s program, ensuring that the buildings are safe, and the cladding compliant.
