The COVID Pandemic has been a particularly challenging time for everyone. With Strata Plan, we had to make sure we maintain high standards of service for our customers. A couple of small wins we’ll talk about today demonstrates that we did just that.


In 2021, COVID cases in Melbourne have increased, and Strata Plan has some properties we manage that has positive cases. To ensure the other residents are kept safe, there was at the time a requirement for a deep clean in the event of a positive case


Whenever there is a positive case, Strata Plan works with the OC’s to assist in organising and scheduling the deep clean, and ensuring this is done in a timely manner.

With both properties, this is exactly what their Expert OC manager has done, over the course of (number) of months, there have been multiple deep cleans organised and carried out.


However, what makes Strata Plan number 1 is our willingness to go the extra mile. Our expert team always ensure we are up to date with all policies relating to owners corporations, and we are very particular with COVID-19 protocols.


During this period, the Victorian Government had the COVIDSafe Deep Cleaning Rebate in place, which is available for small and medium-sized businesses (including Owners Corporations), where anyone suspected or confirmed to have coronavirus (COVID-19) has been on the premises or worksite when they may have been infectious.


The rebate helps cover the cost of hiring professional cleaning services to conduct a ‘deep clean’ or ‘decontamination clean’ of their premises or worksite. This will prevent further transmission of coronavirus (COVID-19) and reduce their out-of-pocket cleaning expenses.


The rebate covers 80 per cent of the cleaning costs at each worksite, capped at a grant of $10,000 (for a total cleaning cost of $12,500).


Because of this rebate, both OCs have gotten back approximately $5,750 in fees for the deep clean. Their committees are very happy that they were informed of the program and the assistance of our expert OC manager has helped make this possible.
