A while back we talk about how we save our customers $3.1M for cladding rectification funding. The VBA is leading the Victorian Statewide Cladding Audit on behalf of the Victorian Government.
To keep Victorians safe, a $600M package was approved to fix buildings with combustible cladding.
“This world-first program will fix the buildings most at risk and keep Victorians safe. Combustible cladding is a national problem and we want the Federal Government to be part of the solution here in Victoria.”
-Premier Daniel Andrews
Our mission is to ensure that all Strata Plan managed buildings get access to Cladding Safety Victoria’s program. The building we manage in 12-18 Miller St, East Brunswick is only the first of many.
The previous cladding material for this building is Aluminum Composite Panel (ACP) and Expanded Polystyrene. The problem with this is that both ACP and EPS are combustible, and the VBA has classified them as non-compliant.
These combustible materials can also promote the spread of fire on or within the building. This may compromise the means of egress for the occupants and/or the public or any person using the building in the event of a fire.
The approval for funding is a huge #StrataPlan win, both for the company and the fifty-seven (57) lot owners on the property. This means that we have saved each owner just over $28,000.00
We’ll continuously post updates on the rest of our buildings.
